Applications are now being accepted to establish a new waiting list, for upcoming vacancies at Patrick DiZenzo Court, in Hackensack, NJ.

 

Applicants must be 62 or older, or disabled (with disabled being defined as receiving Social Security or SSI). Interested households must submit a free preliminary application by January 14, 2023, at 4pm, to participate in the lottery drawing taking place on January 23, 2023.

The units at Patrick DiZenzo Court are Public Housing units administered by the Hackensack Housing Authority. Units are studio and one bedroom units. Rental amounts are based upon income.

Applicants who currently live or work in Bergen, Hudson, Passaic or Sussex Counties, and Veterans (a person who has served in the active military or naval service of the United States at any time as the President of the United States shall determine, and who has been discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable with at least 1 year minimum service or service related disability), will be given preference.

 

If you have already applied to the Hackensack Housing Authority, elderly/disabled waiting list, you must reapply to be included in this opportunity. This will not affect your current placement on their other waitlists.
